Last June that meant the stone courtyards of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines in France, watching lapidaries cut material feet from where it was sold. In September it means Denver: hundreds of dealers, ten days, and the best pieces gone by the time they'd ever reach a website. The photos on this page are from those aisles.
