Shungite Palm Stone
Matte, coal-black shungite with a soft satin polish — visually the quietest stone we carry, and geologically one of the strangest. Shaped and tumbled to sit comfortably in the palm of your hand.
Shungite is a non-crystalline, carbon-rich rock found almost exclusively near Shunga in Karelia, Russia, in deposits roughly two billion years old. High-grade shungite contains trace fullerenes — cage-like carbon molecules first confirmed in nature in shungite — and its carbon makes it electrically conductive, unusual for a stone.

Care: Shungite is softer than quartz (Mohs 3.5–4) — store it apart from harder stones. Wipe with a soft dry cloth.
